gary j asked:
When i had my 74 Nova i had a few amps that i wired directly to the fuse box. The only ones i see today for sale have to go thru the firewall and get connected to the car battery. I rather order it online then buying them at a flea market where ive seen them new but i rather not purchase it that way. Thanks for any leads….

Paul S asked: Looking to replace the stock speakers in my girlfriend’s car, a 2001 VW Jetta. I am looking to replace the two front speakers and the two rear speakers.
Question #1 is do I need to disconnect the tweeters separately or will they be disconnected when the stock speakers are taken out?
#2. How do I find out what the stock system has in terms of Watt output (if i said that correctly)? Should I find speakers that are the same, or will any do?
Any other info that may be useful would be great.

Realize we may need to buy some sort of hardware, but don’t want the expense of installing a DVD player w/screen in car. Looking for either a car audio player that can play all formats (including DVD audio tracks) or something that will convert DVD sound tracks to CD format.

Rick G asked:
it seams to me they stand to make a killing in the industry. they have a name that most people reconize and in the world of SPL drags i think they would be right at home. thier professional series stuff has sensitivities of 105db. they have long been the authoritive speaker maker with the “in your face” style; would this not fit the car audio world of today perfectly? there are so many people looking for the loudest and the hardest hitting, it stands to reason to me that klipch if they choose to could come in and very respectfully take a large market share, so why haven’t they?
not sure i would like thier mid-highs in a car, maybe a bit too harsh and too directional (horns?), but i’d love to see some subs / and midbass by them.
interesting facts about thier history and reasoning for not entering car audio, and i see the point about where car audio is heading, its becoming cool to have quantity without the quality, and that really is not the klipch buisness model..
Thanks Haro_bikes… for the extra effort.. I think it’s a crock that they dont want to expand though, i mena they make pc speakers…. and did very well..
Klipch makes inwall speakers…how much different is a car speaker really? I think they just dont know how to fit that horn in a car…
