My father is in the car business, and was planning on using a guy his dealership uses…however, in my current car (2001 325i) he did the same thing and although i ended up with a quality system (i have whatever the top of the line jl’s were at the time, i think the speakers alone were 1200 for the set) the install job was absurd, they did not even mount the subwoofer box in the back, and then when i took it to a tweet of all places to have it cleaned up, it looked nice, but 10 mins out of the store my rear 6×9 blew, so, i would like to change up the brands a little just for fun, and want to avoid another bad job. It sounds like richmond or d.c. would be the better option.

allright i dont know very much about cars or audio cause i had no reason to be. but now that i have my license and a car, i want to put a audio system in it that will make it seem like i have king kong in my trunk. i want the bass to be able to make your heart drop. so i need to know what to buy, where it goes in the car(like what goes on the doors, trunk, backseat, etc.), and whatever else i need to achieve what i want. oh and how expensive will it be?

by the way, i have a ‘96 maxima if that has anything to do with it.
oh and will i need a different radio/cd player on the dashboard? eventually i wanna get a touch screen that controls everything but not now. i wanna focus on the sound system first.
