Inquisitive asked:

I have connected the front two speakers to the player and the back two speakers are connected to the amplifier.

To improve the sound quality of my car audio, can I connect the front speakers also to the amplifier?

Will an additional subwoofer connected to the amplifier make any appreciable difference in sound quality?

Can anyone provide me with details on using oscilloscope software plus my laptop to tune my car audio setup?

I have a head unit plus an amp and 12″ subwoofer in the trunk, I’d like to be able to tune it using oscilloscope software but not sure what programs may be out there to do the job, and also not sure whether an ordinary PC microphone will be adequate or if I need something better?

I have an ‘03 Acura TL Type-S with a JL Audio 13W7, JL 1000/1, and a Jensen VM9312 running off of a standard/basic battery up front. If not the car audio specific battery shouldn’t just a yellow top or red top do it?

Car audio system – 2 550 watt amplifiers, 2 10″ subs, 2 250 watt 6×9s, 1 .5 farad capacitor, upgraded battery and alternator. After installing the capacitor according to the manufacturer’s wiring diagram, I find that the car battery is draining while parked with the system turned off. The amps are powering off, the only apparent cause is the recently added capacitor. After removing the cap from the system, the battery drain appears to have stopped. Is this normal for a capacitor to drain the battery under these conditions, or could it be malfunctioning?
