Car Audio, If you have an Ipod and a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire how would you hook it up?

My car has Radio and a Cd player. I would like to avoid a FM transmitter and wire this thing right in with the deck system and drill a hole in the dash for the wire to come out and goto the Ipod / Iphone. Keep nice looking. Can this been done?

Best Buy had an adapter thing but it was $150 and not even the right one for the year car. I just want a headphone jack to plug into.
